The Chamber is used to carry out testing of batteries. Batteries are working in various temperature and humidity conditions.  Hot Cold and Humidity Cycling and Steady State Tests at any temperature and temperature-humidity within specified limit. It meets almost all National and International Standards.

Basically this is a Hot Cold and Humidity Testing Chamber with added features related to safety in case battery leaked out and if catches fire or explode. Following are the safety features provided in the chamber:

  • N2 gas purging system (Initial purging)
  • Smoke detector
  • Smoke detector controlled CO2 gas purging system
  • Pressure based opening of the window in case of explosion
  • A 4 mm metal guide will be provided to direct exploded material based on discussion with client to avoid damage to conditioning zone.


  • We will provide solenoid operated for N2 gas and CO2 gas purging. Client has to manage pressure regulator and respective cylinders.
  • This is a general specification. Client has to decide will decide to add, avoid or control the limita like temperature and humidity as per their need to control the cost.
  • Client can also change the specifications as per their need.

-730 to +2000 C (Specify your testing range)

  • Humidity Testing:
  • Temperature: 200 to 800 C
  • Relative Humidity: 20% to 98% Rh
  • DPT: 200 to 650 C

Temperature – %Rh range covered under plot takes cares of all humidity tests and humidity cycling tests specified in IS 9000, JSS 55555 and MIL-STD-810 standards.

  • Single stage refrigeration system is used up to -400 C and cascade refrigeration system is used below -400
  • Humidity Generation: Using low pressure steam generation
  • Dehumidification System: Using refrigeration system
  • Temperature sensing by Pt-100 sensor
  • % Rh sensing by capacitive RH sensor
  • Control accuracy: Better than +/- 0.5° C and +/-2% Rh (+/-10 C and +/-3% RH for Walk In Chambers)
  • Heating and cooling rate: 1° C/min to 100 C/min. Average
  • Selves are provided which can be adjustable throughout height
  • Standard Port Holes: 50 mm / 100 mm / 150 mm diameter (Specify)
  • Multilayer observation window with illumination
  • Caster wheel up to 1000 Liter models
  • Ambient condition: 10° to 45° C

  • EUROTHERM Programming controller, Model-2604
  • HMI-PLC based programming controller (WATLOW or EUROTHERM)

Major Safety Protection:

  • Independent workspace over & under temperature protection
  • Motor winding over temperature protection for semi sealed refrigeration compressors
  • High discharge and low suction pressure correction before tripping
  • Refrigeration compressor tripping abnormal high discharge and low suction pressure
  • Low water level in humidity generation system
  • Over current Relay (OLR) and MCBs are provided as required
